BERRIMA CIC / CNC: TIMETABLE

We have 365 horses competing, so it is essential that riders arrive for each phase on time.  If you are late, you may be eliminated.

HORSE INSPECTION FOR FEI CLASSES:

To be conducted in the lane adjacent to the tree line, near the gate to the dressage arenas.  The horse inspection will commence at 08.30 am with CIC1*, followed at about 09:45 am by CIC2* and 3*.  Riders with two or more horses in CIC1* or in the CIC2*/CIC3* respectively can trot these consecutively.

Please note that there is a separate ground jury for 1* so CIC1* horses will have to present first. Correct horse papers must accompany the horse.

If riders are committed elsewhere, horses may be presented by a groom.  However, both horse and attendant should be neatly presented and safe footwear must be worn. Experience at other CICs held this year under the new FEI Rules show that horses are often not sufficiently warmed up after arrival, prior to presentation at the Trot Up  and this is the commonest reason for not being passed at first presentation.

DRESSAGE:

Times as per draw. Please note that there is no Gear Steward for the Dressage phase. Bridle numbers must be worn. Riders do not need to introduce themselves to the judge. As soon as the previous rider has finished, please ride around the outside of the arena a couple of times then circle near the entrance to the arena. The judge will toot the car horn to give you the signal to enter.

SHOWJUMPING:

Times as per draw. JUMPING WILL BE STRICTLY BY DRAWN ORDER. Be prepared to move up if there is a scratching or a non-arrival before you. There will be  announcements if a Showjumping Arena is running significantly earlier or later than published times. Riders with multiple horses who find a conflict between a Dressage time and a Showjumping time, must keep to the published Dressage time and Showjump as soon as possible after their drawn Showjumping time. Course walks will be held immediately before classes commence, and additionally as shown on the draw.

Please note that there will be no extra Show Jumping course walks. The courses will be open 30 minutes the commencement of jumping.  Riders have the responsibility for ensuring that they walk the course before the class begins. Please note that the later classes to Showjump may be ahead of schedule … keep an eye on the SJ arenas and be prepared to move up. Don't assume that it will be as late as the draw.

CROSS COUNTRY:

The Cross Country will commence at 8 am Sunday commencing with No. 1 and continuing in strict numerical order at 1 minute intervals for all classes up to CIC*, and 2 minute intervals for CIC2* & 3*. There will be a 5 -15 minute break between classes, to allow repositioning of jump stewards. It is the responsibility of riders with multiple horses to have sufficient gear and assistance to be ready to start on schedule. Any rider, who is called to the Start in correct order and is not ready, will be taken to have started at the scheduled time. The start will often run ahead of schedule.
